Plastic part prototyping
Looking for a partner to prototype your plastic parts before moving to industrialisation?
Cemiplast produces prototype pre-series in Switzerland, to validate the feasibility of a plastic part before it moves to industrialisation.
Plastic part prototyping: a key step between design and production
Prototype pre-production is one of the key steps of product development at Cemiplast, between part design and industrial phasing. It validates the material choice, geometry and process feasibility before investing in final tooling.
Plastic part prototyping: multidisciplinary support
Cemiplast’s team combines initial literature research, assessment of the idea’s patentability and part design. It also works with Swiss universities of applied sciences and preferred mould makers to secure the transition from prototype to series.
Depending on the project, prototyping can use all or part of Cemiplast’s 7 injection moulding machines, from 25 to 100 tonnes. When the final part is intended for medical use, it can also be carried out in an ISO 7 cleanroom, to test under conditions representative of future production.

Frequently asked questions about plastic part prototyping
Yes. Prototype pre-production is one of the steps handled by Cemiplast, between part design and industrial phasing.
Cemiplast works with Swiss universities of applied sciences and preferred mould-making partners. It thus secures development, from idea to prototype.
Oui. Lorsque la pièce finale est destinée au médical, le prototypage peut se faire dans les salles blanches ISO 7 de Cemiplast. Il se rapproche ainsi des conditions réelles de production.
The prototype validates the material choice, geometry and process feasibility. It therefore limits risks before investing in final tooling.
Yes. Thanks to an agile organisation, Cemiplast produces both small on-demand series and large, highly repeatable series.
